Our contractor Bolton Brothers unexpectedly stopped paper bank collections in the districts on 1 May, as we understand it is no longer viable for them to continue with the service.
As such, they will shortly begin removing the banks from site, and any recycling credits will continue to be paid until this happens.
We are exploring if possible alternative schemes could provide a cost effective solution, and will, of course, keep our towns and parishes updated on developments.
However, in the meantime, we continue to recycle paper and cardboard widely across Suffolk, through residents’ kerbside recycling collections – where we will also collect additional dry, flattened, cardboard left beside recycling bins, and at local recycling centres.
Please let me know if you have any questions; a letter has also been sent to any contact details we have for the sites.
Kind regards
